Empathy as a Resource:
Finding and Giving Support during COVID-19

L2C proposes a free webinar hosted by Pascale Mompoint-Gaillard with guest speaker
Patricia Garouste on Tuesday 7 April Friday from 18.00 to 19.30 CET.

In the first 3 weeks of school closures, teachers have experienced tensions and high pressures to perform their responsibilities online. There has been a push to do this by bringing their courses online even for those of us who do not have the experience and know-how to do this. One of the results is that teachers, students and families alike have been overwhelmed by the tasks of learning at home. In the meantime, little attention has been focused on well-being and support: how can we support each other, how to replace what we sorely miss such as human contact and  community.

Empathy is a resource to bring our attention and intention back to each other as humans. Patricia will guide us into a reflection on empathy for the self, between colleagues, between teachers and families, and with students. Participants will also be supported in small groups able to bring personal stories into the reflection.

Let’s learn together how to support each other in the COVID-19 era!

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

You can also join the webinar directly on the day here.

Learn to Change is launching an exploration: Announcement for the Collective

Learn to Change’s members held a General Assembly in fall 2022, in which the decision was taken to transform the association into a less formal, and more agile entity. Therefore, we will change status, going from an ‘organization’ to a less formal entity that we name “The collective”
